Rose did an AMAZING job altering my wedding dress. I purchased a vintage Gunne Sax dress online that was slightly too tight at the waist. I spent a lot of time researching who to bring the dress to and I'm so glad I decided on Rose. My dress fit perfectly and I was truly shocked at how barely noticeable the alteration was. Lynn Tan18 September 2026Going with Rose for my wedding dress alterations was the best decision I’ve made vendor-wise for my wedding! I bought an off the rack dress that was two sizes too big that needed a lot to take in. Rose was super meticulous and listened to all of my requests, including my last minute decision to have a wrist loop instead of a conventional bustle. I felt comfortable to express any changes I’d wanted and Rose was very quick to work through all of them. She also added in bra cups without extra charge as I’d mentioned that I wasn’t able to find a suitable sticky bra. She made the fittings so easy that I even had my reception/second look dress altered with her. She’s truly the best in the business 💓 She doesn’t even charge an initial consult fee unlike most places. Thank you Rose!!+2

I have used Rose 3 times in the last 6 months to alter various costume dresses to fit, enlarge the sizing...or make a completely new item. She responds quickly to messages, is flexible with fittings/appointments , is kind, offers helpful input on how to create what you want and then produces lovely work. If I had a valuable dress or wedding attire, I would definitely want Rose to be the one to work on it...knowing that the results would be outstanding. I have now referred numerous people to her, and all have been satisfied with her work.+5

Candice Chea27 May 2026I honestly can’t thank Rose enough for everything she did for me leading up to my wedding day. From the moment I met her, she made me feel so comfortable and reassured during such a stressful time with my dress. I came in not knowing what could even be done, as my wedding dress no longer fit properly, wouldn’t zip up fully, felt tight around the chest and underarm area, and even the original bra cups inside weren’t right for me. Rose worked absolute magic on my dress. She created a beautiful custom corset back to extend and reshape the dress so it fit me comfortably while still looking absolutely stunning on. She also changed the bra cups to ones that suited me properly, attached my veil wings perfectly onto the dress, shortened the front length just enough so my heels could show nicely, and added a train bustle so I could comfortably walk around, dance, and enjoy my wedding night without struggling with the dress. She truly listened to all my concerns and treated my dress with so much care, patience, and attention to detail. Not only did she alter my wedding dress beautifully, but she also professionally cleaned my dress afterwards and cleaned my husband’s suit as well. Everything came out looking amazing. What I appreciated most was how kind, understanding, and accommodating she was throughout the whole process. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, and Rose genuinely helped relieve so much stress for me. Her communication, professionalism, and talent are incredible, and you can truly tell how passionate she is about what she does. I’m beyond grateful and would highly recommend Rose to anyone needing bridal alterations, dressmaking, or garment care. I would absolutely contact Rose again in the future if I ever need alterations done on anything else when the time comes. Anya Chernikov9 February 2026I can’t recommend Rose highly enough. After being turned away by five other tailors due to the short timeframe, I was so relieved to find Rose. I bought my dress on Tuesday on facebook marketplace, it was too small but I bought it anyway as it was so beautiful. Despite being very busy with other clients, Rose was able to fit me in. I brought it in on Wednesday as it wouldn’t zip up at all at the back. She completely transformed it in less than 24 hours - turning the back into a beautiful corset, altering the sleeves for a better fit and hemming the dress, all ready for a wedding on Friday. She was so kind, professional and reassuring, and her workmanship is outstanding. I’m incredibly grateful and couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommend!+0

Lily14 December 2025Rose had the difficult task of restoring a vintage dress with tears and stains and went above and beyond my expectations! Not only did the dress come up basically brand new, we also added floral detailing that I LOVED. Rose is a talented seamstress with very reasonable pricing and I’d recommend her to any bride.+6

I walked in not really knowing what needed to be fixed or how the dress was supposed to fit . I only know my dress was quite a complex one and required a lot of work. Rose gave suggestions I never would’ve thought of, and made me feel totally comfortable the whole time. She is professional and communicates well. By the end, the dress fit like it was made for me. I felt amazing on my wedding day, and I’m so grateful for her help and her eye for detail. I’d happily recommend her to any bride. Haruka21 October 2025Rose was absolutely fantastic, she saved my dress! 👗✨ Because I didn’t have enough time to order my size, I had to buy a sample dress that was more than two sizes too big (you can see it in the first photo!). The ladies at the dress shop said it could be altered to fit, but I didn’t realize how expensive alterations could be for a lace dress like mine.. I was a bit shocked! 😅 After getting a few quotes that were way out of my budget, I found Rose, and she gave me hope. Her pricing was so much more reasonable, and her work was incredible. My dress had a detailed lace pattern with long sleeves, and she adjusted everything perfectly to fit my shape — the result was amazing (as you can see in my wedding photos 💕). Also a few days before the wedding, I noticed the bra cups were still too big, even with my sticky bra. I panicked, but Rose was so kind and responsive… she replaced the cups for me the very next day! 😭 I’m so grateful for her skill, patience, and care. Thanks to Rose, my dream dress fit me perfectly on the big day. I couldn’t recommend her more highly! ❤️+2

Ruby Harrison18 October 2025I cannot recommend Rose highly enough! From the first fitting to the event I felt so confident and proud of her work. Rose is incredibly talented, took my dress in and hemmed it to fit like a glove! As you can see in the photos, my dress had a large sculptural panel on the front of the bodice which Rose placed invisible stitching throughout to secure it in place. Rose is also incredibly affordable, I was worried about the cost of having so much done and I was pleasantly surprised with the price she gave. Y K3 October 2025Very trustworthy! She will look after your dress as if it is her own. Shes not the cheapest but you absolutely get what you pay for! And with something so precious that can really make or break your day, why not invest that little bit more into something you’ve already put so much money and excitement into? My bust alterations were all done by hand, so not to damage the beads. She took her time, and for that I understand was so much love and labour to complete (hence the cost). The bustle is near invisible! The shoulder pieces were cut shorter to sit where I wanted. Everything tailor made to my body and therefore there was no having to pull up my bust every two seconds. I could dance, I could walk, I could pick everything up and ran around the gardens to take photos. It was just perfectly fit. I probably could have gone shorter in length but it suits the style I chose and couldn’t have looked more princessy! She was great to deal with when booking my appointment. She has a private little studio at the back of her home so you have the privacy and time to try on and talk through everything. You will see how many dresses she has there and clearly shows what a fantastic business she is running. She only asks for a deposit to start and you pay the remaining on completion after you have tried on your dress. She completed the dress by the date she stated. It was just an easy process and I trusted her completely throughout. Thank you for making me feel and look so great!!+5

Georgia McGregor24 April 2025I cannot overstate enough how incredible of a job Rose did, and at such short notice. Unfortunately I don’t have any before pictures that adequately show how much of a miracle she worked, but she tailored my deceptively complicated dress to my exact requests. Prior to Rose’s magic, the bodice of my too-large dress made me look boxy and shapeless (even with a lace up back). As you can see in the pictures, she tailored the waist to give it the exact shape I had my heart set on. I gave her full control of the bustle, and that was stunning too - tailored to suit my dress perfectly. She also made my beautiful veil at a week’s notice! Rose was nothing but reassuring, patient and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. I sent her frantic and stressed messages far more often than I’d like to admit, and she was so supportive and willing to do whatever it took to make my dress perfect. I came to Rose after purchasing my wedding dress off the rack, and had Rose shorten the dress in length and through the straps, and add a bustle as my dress was very heavy. The amount of care, detail and support she provided me as I prepared for the wedding was above and beyond, and with her craftsmanship, my wedding dress was elevated in beauty. Ahmad Ali20 July 2019i sent 7 pieces of clothing including my tommy jacket to be repaired and old jeans,what i got back was 20x better.my custom red zip for tommy jacket is INSANE!! I LOVEEE IT lol ....i highly recommend anyone needs clothes alteration with such fine details finish on the sewing and things fit perfectly,i also recommend to just drop your clothes of let her take her time and do the job properly,rather dropping it of the day before you need it repaired,mine took few days because i had 7 pieces to be repaired, but worth every dollar i spent.HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5 STAR+1

Paris & Tito Moore9 May 2026I was honestly really nervous about getting my wedding dress altered because I’d heard so many stories about brides having bad experiences, but from my very first appointment Rose made me feel completely comfortable and confident that my dress was in the best hands. She was so kind, calming and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble and she was always happy to help with any little adjustment or question I had along the way. The final result honestly exceeded anything I could’ve hoped for. My dress fit me like an absolute glove and I felt amazing in it. You can tell Rose truly cares about her work and takes so much pride in what she does. I’m so grateful I found her and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to any bride wanting someone talented, trustworthy and lovely to work with.

Silver Dimapilis30 April 2026Great Service! Highly Professional! I highly recommend! I took two Calibre suit jackets to be resized and fitted as I went down a few sizes. Rose absolutely looked after me and ensured my jackets fitted me perfectly. Whilst I had a simple request, Rose walked me through the alterations and asked me what I wanted along the way. Becca Smedley13 March 2026Rose was not only extremely quick with her turnaround, having my dress ready for me within a week, but she took immaculate care of my vintage dress with delicate beading. She took a dress that was a least 3 sizes too big for me, and turned it into what could only be assumed was custom made. Communication throughout the process was always prompt and she was always so lovely! Would definitely recommend her services to anyone looking for alterations :)

After going around melbourne getting denied from three other alterers, Rose happily worked on my dress and i couldn’t be happier. She had it done in only 2 days and the result was perfect! I cannot thank her enough for fixing my dream dress and making it fit perfectly!! Definitely recommend her! Burwood is far from where i am from but it was so worth it!!

I originally couldn’t fit into my dress, and I was so stressed - but Rose worked absolute magic. I was so surprised how well she did it that I couldn't tell the the torn had been stitched back up! Received pants back 2 days later! 10/10 service

Jessica Manolitsas4 March 2025Rose has once again done a great job, dry cleaning my wedding dress! I was quoted $600+ elsewhere for a dirt stained/fake tan stained dress, however rose restored the dress to brand new condition at a very reasonable price!

Daniela Piedrahita24 February 2025I recently visited Rose to have my wedding dress altered, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! My dress needed to be taken in at the top (a tricky corset fit) and shortened as it was quite long and uncomfortable under my arms. Rose did an incredible job, making my dress fit perfectly! She was so welcoming, kind, and really made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. Unlike other stores, Rose doesn’t charge a quoting fee, and she was incredibly fast at completing the alterations. I highly recommend Rose for anyone in need of alterations. She’s truly talented, and I’m so grateful for the beautiful work she did on my dress!

maneet waraich13 February 202510/10 would recommend RosenSilk. Rose has such good eyes for attention to detail and above all is very accomodating. I bought a beautiful dress online which was tight at the back and the zip wouldn't close all the way up. Rose discussed all the possible solutions and decided to make a beautiful corset according to my measurements, all within a span of 3 days! End result is beautiful!

From the moment I walked in, she made me feel completely at ease and truly went above and beyond to cater to my every need with so much love and care. I honestly had no idea what to expect and didn’t show her any inspiration photos – I simply described what I wanted, and she exceeded all my expectations, from start to finish. Her attention to detail and dedication to her craft is exceptional. I’ve already passed her details on to a friend of mine who’s getting married later this year, so she can go directly to her as well. Her work is outstanding and absolutely worth every dollar. I would definitely return for any future alterations. She’s warm, friendly, genuine, and so incredibly skilled at what she does. I’m so grateful I found her, and I’ll be a loyal customer for life!

Rose skillfully tailored the dress to perfectly suit my body type, all while ensuring I could dance and eat comfortably on my big day. I picked up the final alterations on December 20th, and I was thrilled with the results. Rose went above and beyond by dry cleaning the dress and steam cleaning the train, leaving it in pristine condition. She was able to accomodate my timeline to have the alteration done in time, and at the first fitting we found more areas to fix and she was able to finish the additional work in a week! She is very kind and helpful and really knows what she is doing. I’m very happy with the final results and I can see she’s genuinely happy for me too! Highly recommend Rose for any wedding dress or attire alteration - you know you are in good hands :)

When I brought her my highly detailed wedding dress (beading, multiple layers, lace florals) it was way too big on me. She brought it in, hemmed and added a bustle, much more too, in such a quick turnaround and the quality of her work is amazing. She has also altered my husbands suit and did a fantastic job on that too. I cannot rate Rose highly enough!

Rose was extremely friendly and professional and so lovely to work with. I brought in a dress to be altered for my wedding and later ended up changing my wedding dress and Rose was more than helpful in allowing me to change my dress for alterations. It ended up being a huge job and she altered it perfectly and in great time, I now l have it ready go for my wedding in a few weeks.
